One of my most honest projects: a shot from the hip, don’t think be fast. Don’t worry about any rules.
Le Lomo emerged as a consequence of an accidental meeting concerning the technical, economic, social and artistic conditions of my life. By contesting the division between the realm of memory and the realm of experience, this project creates a work through photographic processes which can be seen explicitly as a personal exorcism ritual. This authenticity is achieved through almost mechanical, routine, and “thoughtless” snaps. What is important for me in this piece is that the paradox role of the smart voyeur may be captured at the centre of events.
Art work and constructing themes take a back seat. Every part of this collection is not thought up but emerges as a document and at the same time as an integral part of a situation.
The art of junk trough the nostalgia, a self-emancipated point of view on photography managed to take an outdated technology and bring up the point of why I create art around images.
